Your friendly neighborhood web-slinging superhero finally returns to the bigscreen via Spiderman:Homecoming. Tom Holland, who plays the lead role in the movie, posts a picture of himself (playing Spidey) high above the ground as the film crew, watches far down below him.
In Holland’s Instagram account (@tomholland2013), he captioned ““1 Year until #spidermanhomecoming hits theaters, are you ready … thought you would like to see a little selfie I took earlier.”
The photo in Instagram shows Holland in his Spidey suit high above the ground posing a selfie teasing fans on what to expect when the movie is released in 2017.
After making his debut as the new Peter Parker and his costumed alter ego in the recent Avenger’s movie “Captain America: Civil War”, Tom Holland will now go solo in highly anticipated 2017 big screen film intended to bring the character fully into Marvel’s cinematic universe.
Rumors say that Ironman or Tony Stark will do a cameo role to support Spidey’s new flick.
Hot grandma, Marisa Tomei, who appeared in Civil War as Aunt May, will also be back in the flick.
News from the vine says that veteran star, Michael Keaton will portray Spidey’s new villain. Aside from Keaton, other stars, like Logan Marshall-Green as a mysterious, secondary villain, Kenneth Choi, pop musician Zendaya, Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Hannibal Burress, Michael Mando, and Angourie Rice will join Holland in the film.
The movie is directed by Jon Watts, Cop Car filmmaker and is written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. The movie is now shooting in Atlanta.
I wonder when the old Spiderman cartoon song will be played again. “Spiderman, Spiderman, friendly neighborhood Spiderman…..” and so the song goes.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is scheduled to premiere July 7, 2017.
